[ˈdɪ-dʒə-təl ˈkræf(t)s-mən] (n.)
1. A pseudonym adopted circa 1997, denoting my interest in technology while studying Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art.
During my studies, the digital medium presented several unique challenges. Computers were slow, and 3D Printing was in its infancy. I anticipated the emergence of technology as an integral part of the creative process, and began my exploration into IT.
Today, I approach working with technology a lot like a project in a traditional workshop. Patience, focus and attention to detail are necessary to ensure success. Measure twice, cut once. All the details matter.
